As I mentioned previously on my Instagram, I’m going to start a new series talking about some of the products new in my rotation that I’ve been kindly gifted. There have been loads of amazing incredible beauty releases lately so I thought I could try out a new style of posts – few short little snippet reviews of some of the new goodies I’ve been currently testing.
One thing to remember: When it comes to skincare, routines vary from person to person. They can be minimal or extreme, depending on your type of skin, environment, age, and budget. Also, most active ingredients in skincare products need at least two months or so to take full effect and achieve your desired results. Just because your skin hasn’t improved immediately doesn’t mean that it won’t.
NUXE Crème fraîche ®de beauté
Pollution is one of the main contributors to ill health in the world, but have you ever stopped to think about what it might be doing to our skin? The best way to conteract the attack? By beefing up your skin care arsenal. Laboratoire Nuxe recently launched a brand new range that promises to keep your skin moisturized for 48 hours and protects it from pollution at the same time. The new formula is a refined mix of Vegetable Milks and Algae Extract. Within the range you have a moisturizing cream for normal and dry sensitive skin, a mattifying fluid for combination skin, mask and serum.
I have been testing both the Crème fraîche ®de beauté Serum and the Crème fraîche ®de beauté Moisturising Cream for dry sensitive skin. However it’s hard to see any long term results after three weeks, I can conclude that it does hydrate, and the skin looks fresh and soft all day long. The moisturizer smells nice, but it can be overwhelming for first time Nuxe users. It soaks in well, I love the buttery, smoothing texture. When I first tried it, I thought it would be way too heavy for me but it sinks in extremely quickly and leaves the skin hydrated and not greasy. I really do feel like the hydration does last all day and my skin felt very comfortable when I’ve used it.

This Black Pine trio from KORRES is a complete anti-aging skin-firming regimen and contains the Black Pine Firming & Lifting Day Cream (helps promote skin elasticity, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve facial architecture), the Black Pine Active Firming Sleeping Oil (helps visibly firm skin and support elasticity, while helping to replenish essential moisture), and the Black Pine Firming & Lifting Eye Cream (helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles).
I truly love Korres. This Greek brand has somehow turned ordinary, natural ingredients into extraordinary, high-performance products. This particular trio makes for a great set during the time when your skin needs the most hydration and protection against weather. I noticed that it left my skin feeling hydrated, soft and smooth. The products absorb into the skin very quickly, they have an odd smell but I feel like they’re working well with my sensitive skin except for the Firming & Lifting Eye Cream – it’s really silky, absorbs well and keeps my skin hydrated, which helps my concealer stay put and look fresh all day, but it gave me a bit of irritation in the eyes. As for the 3D Sculpting & Firming Sleeping Oil, I never thought I’d say I wanted to bathe in oil, but this stuff feels so luxurious that it made me want to dive in!

Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II + Revitalizing Supreme Cell Power Crème + Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex II
The trio of skincare products works in synergy to minimise the look of wrinkles, discolouration and sagging skin, helping to replenish moisture levels and restore a healthy-looking radiance. These products are primarily anti-ageing, but since they are lightweight in texture and tackle dryness, dullness and dehydration as well as the more obvious signs of ageing, there’s no reason not to use it for prevention as well as cure.
I was looking for a firming anti-aging cream, particularly nourishing, but not greasy, to boost my dry skin which is extremely dehydrated, sensitive and dull at the end of winter. I really enjoyed the ease of use, textures and flavours of all three products. My skin became brighter and relaxed, not to mention they all smell amazing. I absolutely love the Supreme+ Cell Power Crème! I use this as my night cream and during the day. It’s really hydrating and not greasy. I do think my skin is more radiant since using it and it’s a pleasure to use, but I’m not sure it’s made a big impact on my fine lines yet. I guess time will tell..
