New Year, New You

The start of a new year is the perfect time to reinvent your look. It’s time to shake things up, and give yourself a new vibe. It might just give you an extra burst of confidence to take on the world. And the quickest and most effective way to accomplish it, is with the help of accessories. They can work wonders without breaking your budget. Accessories play a significant role in defining your personal style. They are essential while dressing up no matter what the occasion. There isn’t an easier way how to make a statement than by adding life to your outfit. How to wear them?

PURSES

An instant upgrade even for the most basic outfits. A symbol of womanhood. Your purse is oftentimes the first thing to showcase your style to the world. Just remember: the purse should be in proportion to your figure and size. Too large can be overwhelming, too small can make you look larger in comparison. As for the Spring/Summer 2017 trends, it’s all about mini and maxi, colourful embroidery, folkloric and ethnic touches as well as floral prints.

BELTS

There was a time when we ignored the belt. It was all about the functionality – to hold up the pants. But trust me, it’s amazing how a belt can modify your outfit. A belt adds a visual element to your outfit, gives you an instant definition and provides a stopping point for the eye.  Maybe you don’t realize that but a belt can act also like a jewellery. Look for a dramatic buckle, interesting colour or texture.

JEWELLERY

A nice piece of jewellery lifts the spirit and brings a smile to your face. Go for one statement piece, don’t overload. For example, if it’s a necklace, go for a bold one and keep the rest (earrings, rings) minimal. If you want to draw an attention to your face, try chandelier earrings. They are in the direct line of vision for anyone you talk to. If you decide to go for a ring, wear an attention grabber, but don’t forget that your hands and nails have to be properly groomed. And don’t load up every finger. And then there is a bracelet. Look for an interesting one-of-a-kind piece or go for an arm full of bracelets. Try mixing different materials.

Of course, you have many other options like scarves, gloves, watches, hats, glasses…Whatever it is, keep your accessories in tune with your personality and with what you wear. Remember that less is more. And don’t be shy. If you see something you like, try it on. You never know, it might look amazing on you. It all depends on you and your point of view and confidence. BTW, some women believe that shopping is also a way to burn calories and tone the arms. So there you have it. Happy New Year! 🙂
