How to start a day in a happy way

People always comment on how I always seem to have a smile on my face, or they comment saying how my happiness is contagious. I’m one of those annoying people who’s overly happy all the time. But let me tell you something – smiling doesn’t necessarily mean I’m happy. Then I remember.. Every day is a new day and even if something was wrong yesterday, I can get it right today, so it is very important to start my day in a good way.

The minute we wake up, we can choose to get out of bed and make the most of our day. The way we start our day influences how we feel for the rest of the day. Being happy at is the result of the everyday steps we take to get into a positive place and remain there. Here’s how.

Meditate

When you wake up in the morning, take a few minutes to meditate. Sit down and relax your body. For a few minutes, imagine and feel that today is going to be a wonderful and a special day for you. Decide your first thought. It is important to think of something that puts you in the right mood, something that makes you feel good, happy and alive.

Renourish and energize

Before breakfast have large glass of warm water with half lemon squeezed into it. This will assist with digestion and is effective in body cleansing and detoxification – it will help get things moving. Follow this with a nutritious breakfast to kick-start your metabolism and fuel your body to face the day ahead.

Listen to your favourite song

There is one or two songs that create a happiness that makes you feel good when you listen to them so then do yourself a favour and listen to these songs in the morning. Starting a day in a happy way, it’s more likely that is going to be a good day, all we need to do during the course of day is to focus on positive thoughts, in fact the happiness of our life depends on the quality of our thoughts.

Smile

Smile at your customers, at your employees, at your vendors, smile at your family and friends, smile at strangers. Just smile… People want to be happy! I’ve read somewhere that if you smile at life, life will smile back at you. And I can affirm that. Also, a smile confuses the hell out of those who might be plotting against you! 🙂
