We all get our skincare obsession from somewhere. Mine comes from my mother. She believes in consistency – has a regimen which consists of a morning and night routine, and never skips it. Not even when she is on vacation. Every time I see her glowing face, I think, Seriously, how does she do it?
My mom always taught me to remember that you are more beautiful than you think you are. Even though I am often so harsh on myself, as all of us girls are, we have to remember to look into the mirror and see the beauty that makes us shine. And apparently, for everything else, there is a great skincare!
Waking up flawless is all in a few key steps. Last week I was fortunate enough to participate in the exclusive preview of Laboratoires FILORGA new range of ‘NCTF Reverse’ products designed with positive ageing in mind. Filorga specializes in anti-aging cosmetics and was founded by a physician more than 30 years ago who started the trend of using injectables to improve the look of skin. In 2007, Filorga launched their non-surgical, anti-aging, over-the-counter cosmetics line. It is highly effective at targeting the signs of aging, so much so, that since its launch, over 10 million bottles have been sold worldwide. Basically, Filorga emulates the effects of botox and fillers without the need for invasive procedures.

Excited about the prospect of actually seeing any signs of age reversal, I tried Filorga’s 7-DAY EFFECTIVENESS PROGRAMME: a lotion to prepare the skin, a serum to saturate the skin with active ingredients, a day cream to treat deep-down. By using all three products I tripled up on the amount of NCTF, but as the formulations differ I was also getting the maximum amount of active ingredients. After only a few days, my skin appears brighter, smoother and fresher with a pleasant glow. Overall skin tone seems better, with more even texture to the skin and a softer overall feel. It has been particularly effective around my eyes, reducing the tired look I had. And it smells divine! My skin is really sensitive and I have to be very careful with what I put on my face. I know different things work for different people but I would say to give it a try. Also a little goes a long way.

Your first stage for getting moisture into the skin. I like to add a few drops to the palm of my hand, press hands together and pat into the slightly damp skin, right after make-up removal. NCTF-INTENSIVE HIGH ABSORPTION SERUM
This serum works as an intensive booster for the skin, acting on wrinkles, firmness and radiance. It contains encapsulated retinol, collagen and elastin booster to combat wrinkles, plant DNA to firm, and natural vitamin C to enhance radiance. I use it between cleansing and moisturizing. Only a tiny amount is needed for use on your entire face and neck. Its ultra-light texture quickly penetrates the heart of the skin for optimal action.
NCTF-REVERSE Supreme Regenerating Cream
A lightweight moisturizer which I use day and night. The cream glides on the skin and the colour blends away in a flash. It feels like silk, to the point where you’ll want to apply more than you should. It’s pale pink, the same as the Essence, this is because NCTF is naturally pink. It delivers on wrinkle treatment with retinol to stimulate collagen and elastin. It also contains Hyaluronic acid to plump the skin. Its ultra-comfortable texture is enriched in shea butter and offers a matte finish to your skin.
