Here’s What Meghan Markle’s wedding hair & makeup might look like

I’ve been covering Harry & Meghan love story for different media outlets since it became first known. Now, with the wedding in just 4 days, the questions that I’ve been asked a few times–especially more recently – are: Who will design Meghan Markle’s wedding dress? What will Meghan choose for her wedding day makeup? How Will Meghan Markle Wear Her Hair on Her Wedding Day?

Meghan has reportedly picked Ralph & Russo as her wedding dress designer (more here) but getting the rundown on exactly how she is planning on wearing her makeup and hair for the big day is impossible. According to British newspaper The Express, Meghan has opted not to work with a professional makeup artist and instead has her close friends doing it for her. So what can we possibly expect and what are her favourite go-to beauty products?

SKIN

Meghan doesn’t wear a lot of make-up and it’s never heavy. She prefers a more natural, dewy-looking skin, with her freckles peeking through. But like first dates and fancy meals, applying makeup requires preparation. Great makeup begins with great skincare so before you apply a single drop of foundation, concealer, or any other product, make sure you have a hydrated base to work with.  SHISEIDO’s Essential Energy Moisturizing Cream cares for unnoticed skin damage, such as dullness, caused by dryness and subtle signs of aging before it surfaces. ReNeura Technology™ reawakens skin’s sensors—like a reboot to make skin more responsive to your daily skincare regimen. I love the fact that the jars come in 64 different shapes and are inspired by Japanese Raku ware, a type of pottery traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies.

To amplify her glow, Meghan layers Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer over her moisturizer. This skin-awakening primer brings a healthy glow to skin as it creates a smooth surface for flawless makeup application. Its pearl tint helps turn up the radiance and tone down the look of pores, fine lines and redness while helping your makeup glide on easily and last longer so your look stays color-true for hours.

As a bride, you typically start getting ready early in the morning and need to look camera-ready until the very end of the day. The key to keeping your makeup in place through the tears and hugs is to use products that are designed to last. Meghan’s favourite foundation is Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Using exclusive Micro–fil™ technology to sculpt and brighten, this buildable coverage foundation improves texture and blurs imperfections. It comes in 24 shades to match every unique skin tone.

EYES

Time after time, Meghan typically adheres to the same beauty mantra: bronzed skin, subtle contour, nude lip and that delicate daytime smoky eye with beautiful volume in her lashes. Bronzes, coppers, and light browns make for a sultry date-night look and work on any eye colour. Meghan also swears by using a highlighting pen like Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat, which she applies to the inner corners of her eyes to brighten the area and fake a well-rested look. This gives the eye a little sparkle. To make your eyes pop like Meghan’s, opt for soft, natural browns for your eye make-up, such as the Urban Decay Naked2 Palette.

Add the final touches by applying Stila HUGE Extreme Lash Mascara. With just one coat, you instantly get major volume, length, curl, lift and intense black color.

CHEEKS

Meghan is reportedly a fan of NARS Blush in Orgasm, which is a peachy, highlighter blusher, so this might be in the mix. It’s a perfect rosy flush tone that brightens the face and it’s considered to be universal and suits almost all skin tones.

LIPS

When it comes to her lipstick, like the rest of her make-up, Meghan likes to keep things fairly simple. Although Meghan used to wear a bold red lipstick in the past, she is mostly seen with a glossy natural lip colour. Her favourite nude lipstick is apparently the shade Very Victoria by Charlotte Tilbury, however, I’d love to see her with a brighter lip on her wedding day. Charlotte Tilbury At Your Lip Service features 3 truly legendary lipsticks in 2 award-winning formulas, so that every woman can feel like a queen, look like a queen and think like a queen! This kit includes Matte Revolution Lipstick in Legendary Queen, a soft neutral wine shade, Matte Revolution Lipstick in The Queen, the best-selling iconic lip shade in the can’t-live-without rosy, crown-jewel pink that instantly lifts and brightens your complexion, and K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in The Duchess, a charming tea-rose pink for a splendidly sophisticated lipstick look.

HAIR

I love a good side-sweep on Meghan! Her slicked style with curled ends would be definitely royal bride-worthy. Meghan has some seriously glossy brunette locks, which she either wears in an elegant-but-messy bun but, most often, loose and wavy. It would be nice to see a more formal version of the look making an appearance at her May 19th nuptuals. Add Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray as a final step to any style for a beautiful, healthy finish.
