DIOR: Spring 2017 Haute Couture Beauty

This morning, Maria Grazia Chiuri debuted her first haute couture collection for Dior. It evoked a fairy tale mood when you want to escape to Wonderland for a while. Maria Grazia is also the first woman ever to take charge as creative director of the fashion house so the occasion called for an equally romantic beauty look. Creative image director Peter Philips was inspired by designer and her celestial and woodland-inspired show. He took one of the lucky charms, a star, and brought it back in the makeup. He called it “stardust,” creating a dreamy, rosy-cheeked makeup look that featured glued-on stars and sequins on the inner corners of the eye and under eye.

He kept the skin look luminous using a mix of the brand’s Diorskin Forever and Ever Wear Primer and their new CC cushion, Diorskin Forever Perfect Cushion with touches of Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer along the brow bone, bridge of the nose, and cupid’s bow. Among the other key products he used for the look included Diorblush in Rose Cherie, Diorshow Khôl High Intensity Pencil (launching in May 2017), the just-introduced Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub Sweet Exfoliating Balm and Dior Addict Lacquer Stick #550 Tease (out next year).
